Cape Town - Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 50 years of its performance division, AMG, with a fun campaign called #AMGgrowl.
The challenge
Mercedes-Benz challenged South Africans to imitate the AMG exhaust sound by uploading video clips using the hashtag #AMGgrowl.

The public and local personalities shared their clips and response has been amazing. Mercedes-Benz posted a video clip of SA TV broadcasting legend, Riaan Cruywagen, performing his best#AMGgrowl in a great local news parody.
Another clip shows a traffic officer, at what appears to be a routine traffic stop, react to the engine grunt of a motorist.
