Fast and Furious 8: What the cast will drive

Cape Town - The next chapter in the never-ending franchise that is 'Fast and the Furious' is filming in Iceland and Fast 8 promises to have some awesome machinery.

Universal Pictures, the studio funding the film, shared a few photographs on social media of what Dominic Toretto and his team members, agent Luke Hobbs, Letty Ortiz, Roman Pearce and Tej Parker will be driving.

SA-flavour

South African actress Charlize Theron (Cipher) is the villain in the new film and while it is mostly set in New York City, like previous films, the team will travel the globe, with US state Atlanta and Russia named as two other locations so far.

Dame Helen Mirren will also star in the latest movie.

Fast 8 will premier April 14 2017 in the US and is directed by F Gary Gray.

Let's have a look at the cars:

Toretto will drive American muscle in the form of a Dodge Charger.

Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) will be behind the wheel of the Rally Fighter.

Tej (Ludacris) has a military style tank called Ripsaw.

Good luck getting through Tej. His Ripsaw is ready for all-terrain combat. #IceCars #FastFridays #F8

While flashy Roman (Tyrese Gibson) uses European muscle in the form of an orange Lamborghini.

Roman is all about speed and always rolls in style. #IceCars #FastFridays #F8

And last but not least...Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs) will use the Ice Ram. In fact Johnson called himself the Abominable Iceman

It wouldn't be FAST & FURIOUS without some vehicular warfare. In #F8, it's from the sky. #FastFridays
