Cape Town - Despite a decline in new vehicle sales throughout 2016, the new Toyota Hilux managed to retain its position as South Africa’s best-selling bakkie in July.
Not only has the Hilux dominated the bakkie market, with an overall sales figure of 3153 units in July, it's SA’s best-selling vehicle.
Leading by a landslide
The Hilux has been on a sales charge since its launch in SA at the start of 2016 and has dominated the sales charts.
The Ford Ranger, the Hilux’s closest and toughest rival, was July’s second best-selling bakkie with 2305 units sold.
