Zuma crash: Inquest finding today

RANDBURG, Gauteng - The result of an inquest into a fatal freeway crash involving South African president Jacob Zuma's son, Duduzane, is expected to be announced in the magistrate's court in Randburg on Thursday (Dec 11 2014).

Zuma's Porsche rear-ended Jabulani Vusi Dlamini's minibus taxi on the Grayston Drive off-ramp from the M1 in Sandton on February 1 2014. Taxi passenger Phumzile Dube was killed and three other people were injured.

LOST IT IN A PUDDLE

Zuma claims that he lost control of the sports car when it hit a puddle.

In July 2014, the National Prosecuting Authority said it declined to prosecute Zuma due to insufficient evidence.

Magistrate Lolita Chetty has taken two weeks to examine the documentation handed to her by all legal teams involved in the inquiry.
