The distinctive DrifterX theme adds additional spice to the active and sporty nature of the already popular Drifter range and is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 guise.
The DrifterX features a 2.5-litre intercooled turbodiesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Delivering a maximum power output of 80 kW at 3 500 r/min and producing 257 Nm of torque at 2 000 r/min the DrifterX is flexible in any circumstance.
A number of subtle accents to the exterior styling introduce the DrifterX theme. DrifterX omnicast badges adorn the lower front corners of the front doors as well as the lower left corner of the tail gate. In addition one will find that the scuff plates are similarly emblazoned with the DrifterX logo.
Various stainless steel detailing reiterates the physically demanding attitude of the DrifterX. The side sill protector, roll and nerf bar as well as rear step bumper are all aesthetically pleasing in stainless steel yet at the same time functional too.
The look is completed by the omnicast DrifterX badge located on the left corner of the bonnet and the DrifterX screen printing on the tonneau cover.
The DrifterX benefits from new additions to the cabin such as a Mazda branded gear knob and leather headrests, with DrifterX embossing.
All models offer high specification levels with airconditioning, electric windows in the front and rear, electric exterior mirrors, central locking with selective unlocking, lockable glovebox and radio/ CD with 4 speakers.
For peace of mind there are driver and passenger airbags as well as an Anti-Lock Braking system with Electronic Brake force Distribution.
The DrifterX is available in either 4x2 or 4x4 options and comes standard with diff-lock.
