Walker's Fast & Furious GT-R for sale

It’s been mere weeks since Paul Walker’s shocking death and already business are trying to cash in on the actors name.

The blue Nissan Skyline R34 he once drove in 'Fast and Furious' in 2009, (the fourth in the film series), is being sold at a ridiculous price.

A German online marketplace, Mobile.de, has the metallic blue GT-R listed as “for sale” on its website. The company which is auctioning the car is called GT-A and it specialises in restoring luxury and classic cars.

According to the seller, the Skyline GT-R R34 is one of a kind and is on sale for the equivalent of R14.2-million. Talk about cashing in? That’s the price of 10 new GT-R models in SA (retail price is R1.4-million for a base GT-R model).

The company claims the model is the original car built for and driven by Walker, who died in a car crash on November 30 2013. Walker was the passenger in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas who also died on November 30 in the crash.

YouTube user, Captainsewerrat, commented on the company’s video posted online: “I hope GT-A will donate some of the money to Paul’s foundation, given the equivalent of R10-million bump now that Paul has passed.

“According to Grip (another advertising agency), it was R4.2-million before.”

And, according to more reports, the car has apparently been on sale for "quite some time" and the price has more than doubled since the actor's death.

The GT-R is equipped with a 405kW straight-six cylinder 2.6-liter turbocharged engine with dual overhead camshafts and only 6000km on the clock. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual.

Let's hope the money from the auction goes towards a good cause such as Walker's charity, Reach Out World Wide.
