Video: Pikes Peak idiocy

PIKES PEAK, Colorado - Nine-times World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb blitzed his way to a record time of 8min13.878 in the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Unlimited Class.

The veteran, behind the wheel of his 652kW Peugeot 208 T16, smashed the Pikes Peak record of 9min46.164 and became the first driver to complete the course in less than nine minutes.

DEATH WISH AT PIKES PEAK

Loeb's record-setting run could have ended in disaster as a group of brainless spectators decided to cross the road during his lap.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows four spectators crossing the path mere seconds before Loeb blasted his way through a bend. At 0:09 you can spot Loeb narrowly missing a spectator in front of him.
