CALIFORNIA, USA - IndyCar driver Scott Dixon drove into a rival team's mechanic at the Sonoma Raceway, California, USA. Dixon however claims the mechanic intentionally blocked his path.
Dixon received a drive-through penalty for crashing into the mechanic.

Dixon commented: "You can see he walked straight into our car. You can see where the car is and he walked towards us on purpose. It's probably the most blatant thing I've seen in a long time.
“If you watch most pit guys, they will try to get out the way. It was a bit of a dick move to be honest. He was probably trying to get me to stop. I had a straight line out of the pits and he just walked into us."
IndyCar Series race director Beaux Barfield said Dixon used "less than great judgment" and "made it easy" for officials to penalise him.
Barfield said: "There are a couple of different (video) angles, and clearly (Dixon) crosses right into Will Power's space, and that's where the violation occurred. He was in (Power's) box for a good half-car length."
