PADERHORN, Germany - There’s a mean Volkswagen Golf Mk1 terrorising the streets in Germany with 764kW under its bonnet.
The latest 16Vampir creation is powered by a four-cylinder, 1.8 16V engine fitted with a Garret GTX4202R turbo pushing 746kW. The engine is mated to a six-speed DSG (dual shift gearbox borrowed from Audi S3) and features all-wheel drive.
AdrenalinTuning is responsible for the custom DSG ECU controller.

Boba Motoring who is responsible for the ECU mapping of the car says its actually capable of 755kW. The company claims the Mk1 sprints from 0 to 100km/h sprint in two seconds and reaches 0 - 200km/h in five.
The car apparently only weighs 900kg. Official performance figures have yet to be confirmed.
