KEYS TO THE BUS: Sibongiseni Mkhize, CEO of the Robben Island Museum, receives the keys to the T5 minibus from Matt Gennrich, GM: Communications, VWSA.

Volkswagen Group SA has donated a T5 minibus to the Robben Island Museum near Cape Town.

The vehicle was previously on loan to the museum and is used to transport VIP guests visiting the World Heritage site.

'PROUD ASSOCIATION'

Matt Gennrich, general manager for communications at VWSA, said: “Our relationship with the Robben Island Museum goes back to 1998 when we first donated a T4 Microbus that was used to shuttle VIP visitors.

"In 2009 we supplied eight buses to the island to transport visitors.

“We are proud to continue our association with the museum and the donation of this vehicle will further strengthen our commitment and relationship."
