The familiar man in the white suit will silently grace Top Gear fans’ screens again in an advertisement promoting “the most daring Top Gear Live staged in the UK”.
The Stig appears behind the wheel of a new Aston Martin Vanquish for the event being held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre from October 25-28 2012.
ACTION-PACKED
The driving legend of the hugely popular Top Gear show puts the Vanquish, which has a top speed of 295km/h, through its paces in the pulsating 30-second advert. The car is just one of many supercars making an appearance on the show, with presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
The action-packed advert also shows a stunt team member performing motorcycle tricks while The Stig powerslides the 421kW V12 Vanquish around to show viewers what to expect in the new show.
Highlighting both the arena and track shows, each an integral part of the programme, plus the debut of Aston Martin’s latest flagship that costs the equivalent of more than R2.5-million, Clarkson wittingly says:
“The Stig will be tearing around our brand-new indoor track in a selection of unreasonably priced supercars and we three will be trying not set each other on fire inside our most dangerous stunt show yet.”
