Cape Town - Toyota is preparing what will become its eight-generation Hilux. Earlier in April 2015, Wheels24 reported on spy images revealing the new Hilux.
A video by Toyota Thailand gives a sneak peak at the some of the new bakkie's features. In the short 18-second clip, which is sold in Thailand as the Hilux Revo, you can spot the new headlights, foglights and glimpse the new front.
A full reveal is scheduled for later in 2015.
NEXT HILUX ON WAY
The bakkie has been steadily evolving since 1968 and it’s been almost 10 years since the seventh-generation Hilux made its debut.

The 2016 Toyota Hilux will feature a more muscular, angular design. It’s been widely speculated that the redesigned Hilux will bear striking resemblance to the new Tacoma bakkie. The new Hilux will be longer and wider than its predecessor.
The new Hilux will be equipped with a new generation of turbodiesel engines in the form of a 2.4 litre capable of 123kW/400Nm and a 2.8 litre delivering 130kW/450Nm.
It could be a long time before the new Hilux arrives in South Africa - provisionally, it is expected only in 2016.
