The new kit will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week and include a set of exterior design enhancements, among them a black front grille and surround, foglight bezels, bonnet and fender vents, side-mirror caps and a tailgate finisher.

There will also be a Stealth finish on non-reflective head and tail lights along with a choice of 21” nine-spoke or 22” five-spoke rims in satin black with wheel nuts in gloss black.

MORE OPTIONS

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover's design director and chief creative officer, said: “With the addition of the Stealth Pack we are further extending the appeal of the Range Rover.”

Land Rover says the new Range Rover Sport is the most dynamic Land Rover yet, "providing owners with an agile and responsive driving experience on or off-road and has won more than 50 global awards".

Every car is crafted using the highest quality materials with carefully selected colours and textures to enhance the model's blend of luxury with a sporting character.  Available in a choice of 18 body colours, designed specifically to complement the huge range of interior leathers, wood veneers and metallic detailing, customers can create the ultimate bespoke SUV.

POWER

There's a choice of three engines – five-litre V8 supercharged petrol with 375kW with a 100km/h time of five seconds, 4.4 SDV8 diesel with 250kW/700Nm and three-litre SDV6 diesel with 215kW.

Off-road capability retains class-leading wheel travel (260mm front, 272mm rear) and wheel articulation of 546mm.

The upgraded air suspension system automatically varies between two ride heights while Terrain Response 2 automatically selects the most suitable terrain programme.

The Stealth Pack will retail at the equivalent of R31 076 with 21" alloys or R45 700 with 22" alloys.

The Festival of Speed will run from June 26-29. - Newspress
