Lexus is pushing the envelope with its IS-F, which has evolved from a sedan to rival the BMW M3 to a cabriolet to rival the M3 convertible.
The IS-F isn’t exactly a huge commercial hit in 2012 but reviews have been positive. It’s become known as the only Lexus “built from passion” and should deliver a more engaging driving experience once you get the top down.
V8-POWERED CABRIO
The new IS-F cabriolet has been spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring track in Germany. Cosmetically, there are no big surprises other than a huge wing on the boot. The exhaust has also been tweaked as the quad tips are circular, not oval. Not exactly radical in terms of changes.

Power will be derived from the IS-F sedan’s five-litre V8 which will be mated to eight-speed auto.
