Subaru’s BRZ is inching its way to becoming a production-ready vehicle and our spy photographers snapped images of this highly anticipated model
Caught undergoing testing near the Nürburgring, the heavily camouflaged prototype looks virtually identical to the Toyota FT-86 but is distinguished by a revised front bumper and diode daytime running lights.
Power is expected to come from a two-litre engine producing 149kW. The engine will be mated to a six-speed transmission.
The rear-wheel driven BRZ concept could debut at the Los Angeles auto show, ahead of the production model’s unveiling at the Tokyo show later in 2011.
