NEXT RANGE ROVER SPORT: The new Range Rover Sport will be powered by a choice of two petrol and one diesel V8 powerplant.
Earlier in 2011, we reported on a new Range Rover prototype undergoing testing. At first glance you might believe our latest spy images are another yet another batch images of the same model.
What our spy’s captured are in fact images of the all new Range Rover Sport.
When comparing the two models, you can spot different headlights and taillights. The new model features a much lower profile with lower side windows and a flatter rear window than the standard Range Rover.
The new Sport will differ from the outgoing model, which is based on the Discovery’s chassis, and will share underpinnings with the yet to be launched Range Rover.
The Sport will make use of two petrol V8 units capable of 280kW and 380kW as well as a diesel-V8 which puts out 313kW.
