Our spies snapped up images of the upcoming Mini Roadster in JCW-guise. Although the vehicle is camouflaged on the rear end, the rest of the prototype gives us a clear indication of what the new model will look like. The model sports curvier lines than the Cooper, particularly the windshield, which also looks shorter and more sloped. We can see a retractable rear spoiler on the prototype, as well as a double-piped, centre-mounted exhaust for that new rear end. The new model will also sport an extra set of lights on that rear bumper grill insert. This soft-top model looks similar to the Mini Roadster Concept the automaker debuted at the Frankfurt motor show in 2009. It’s hard to tell what Mini is hiding with its swirling camouflage design though the Mini Roadster will make its debut later in 2011. Expect a handling pack to improve the dynamics, whilst 155kW of the finest 1.6-litre forced induction power is nestled under the scooped bonnet.
