Spy photographers managed to capture images of the next Mini Cooper S undergoing testing. The heavily camouflaged prototype appears slightly longer and wider than the current model.
The car adopts a smaller grille, a longer hood and slimmer A-pillars. The typical bonnet-mounted air-intake of the āSā is visible on this prototype.

While the exterior is instantly recognisable, big changes will occur inside. The next-generation Cooper and Cooper S will ditch the centre-mounted speedometer for a more traditional instrument cluster.
Engine options for the regular versions remain a mystery but for the Cooper S, a new turbocharged 134kW 1.6 petrol is likely while the JCW recieves a similar unit with 164kW.
