Mahindra is set to launch two new models based on its Xylo MPV first launched in South Africa in 2009.Our spy spotted a new compact MPV along with a new bakkie variant undergoing testing.The new compact Xylo remains unchanged in terms of looks but will feature a significantly smaller boot and a shorter rear overhang. It’s doubtful whether the new mini-MPV will retain the original model’s 85kW 2.5-litre turbodiesel. We’ll have to wait for the new model’s official unveiling later in 2011.XYLO BAKKIEThe Xylo pickup variants shirks its passenger compartment in favour of a longer wheelbase, leaf springs and more generous loading space. Mahindra’s Xylo Pickup will most likely feature the MPV's 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine. It is set to be unveiled later in 2011.
