SPIED! Lambo’s Aventador

SPOTTED: Lamborghini's Murcielago replacement, the Aventadaor, is set to make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011

Our spies caught Lamborghini’s new V12 supercar, the Aventador, during testing.

Though camouflaged, our spy images give us a fair indication of what the new model will eventually look like when it emerges from beneath the covers at the upcoming Geneva auto show.

The LP700-4 seems to carry Reventon-inspired lines, particularly at the front end, with its stealth fighter-like trapezoidal shapes and crease lines.

The Murcielago successor will likely be equipped with an upgraded 6.5-litre V12 engine capable of producing 514kW with a maximum torque figure of 690 Nm.

The V12 engine will be mated to a Graziano seven-speed automatic (single clutch with dual sychronisers) transmission.

Weighing in at 1575 kg, it is expected the all-wheel-drive Aventador will accelerate from 0 -100km/h in only 2.9 seconds and have a top speed of 350 km/h. The model is scheduled to make its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2011.
