Jaguar's baby sedan, the XE, has been spotted undergoing testing on a frozen lake in northern Sweden.
Previous spy images showed a prototype appearing more like its XF and XJ siblings. On Wednesday (March 12), spy photographers have captured images of Jaguar's entry-level sedan fitted with its production body.

The XE and the C-X17 will ride on the automaker’s iQ[Al] platform. It will sport shorter front and rear overhangs and more compact body than the XF.
Jaguar’s XE will compete with the likes of BMW’s 3 Series, Audi’s A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The spiritual successor of the X-Type will receive a generous engine family that will include a “high-output unit” enabling the model to reach a maximum speed of 300km/h.
The automaker is planning a frugal variant that could produce “less than 100g/km”. Jaguar’s XE is expected to be launched in 2015.
