The Jaguar F-Type coupe in these spy shots shows what looks like a soft-top but it might just be ruse by the automaker. The car will compete with Porsche’s Boxster and Cayman so it needs to offer the same roof choices. Image galleryThe F-Type coupe will ride on the roadster’s chassis. The only difference between the two is the coupe’s sloping fixed roof which stretches to the rear deck, giving a fastback shape similar to the C-X16. TRIM CHOICESThe coupe will offer the same V6 and V8 engines as the roadster, as well as the same ZF eight-speed auto transmission. The roadster offers three trim levels and it is rumoured the coupe will inherit these choices, too. The base model gets a 253kW supercharged three-litre V6 while the V6 S has 29kW more. Finally, the V8 S model gets a 369kW supercharged five-litre V8.
