Earlier this year our spies spotted Mercedes-Benz's new SLK convertible undergoing testing in Germany. Our spies managed to snap the model's interior, though we'll tell them to take an umbrella the next time they try to snap pics in the rain.
In its market segment the SLK, along with BMW's Z4, will be one of only two competitors to offer a hard top.
The new model is set to be powered by non-turbo petrol V6 engines as well as smaller turbo units. A diesel variant is also on the cards.
We could also see the rumoured 3.5-litre V6 twin turbo with 351kW making its way into an AMG version.
