SPIED: Inside next 911 Turbo

A hardly-camouflaged prototype of the face-lifted Porsche 911 Turbo has been spotted undergoing testing in Germany.

The photographed Porsche appears to be near production-ready. The only disguised details are its front bumper with daytime diode lights and the rear with new light clusters.

The 2014 911 Turbo has a3.8-litre flat-six petrol engine that generates 388kW; the Turbo S version makes 418kW.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch auto that helps the car to accelerate to 100km/h in 3.2sec (Turbo S, 3.1).

Judging from the images, modifications to the cabin will be limited to a new screen for the infotainment system and minor changes to the switches linked to that system.

Expect to see the next 911 range at the 2015 Frankfurt auto show in September.
