BMW’s 1 Series Concept ActiveE, unveiled at the NAIAS earlier this year, is now production-ready and our spies snapped images of the new vehicle during a commercial photo shoot.
SPIED! Electric 1 Series?
Compared to the concept car, our imgaes show that the production version will have conventional wheels, a different fascia, a new bonnet and "E Drive" badges.
The ActiveE is said to have a range of 160km per charge and be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 8.5sec. A lithium-ion power-pack will propel the 1 Series ActiveE to a top speed of 145km/h.
BMW’s new electric 1 Series coupe will only be available in some markets, beginning with the USA.
