MONSTER: The new C63 AMG Black Series will be powered by a 380kW 6.2l V8 engine

Our spy photographers snapped up images of the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series undergoing testing in Germany.

Though still a test mule, the new model sports a new front and rear design.

Under the hood, the new Black Series will be powered by a 380kW 6.2l V8 powerplant capable of producing 380kW. The engine will be mated to an AMG seven-speed speedshift gearbox.

We’re assuming Mercedes will probably reduce the weight of the new model to compensate for the heavy engine.

The C63 AMG Black Series will be followed by a coupe variant.

Mercedes tips the coupe variant as a true successor to the CLK 63 AMG Black Series first shown in 2007.
