The BMW 5 Series estate is only due out in 2016 but here are some spy shots of the car under heavy camouflage.
At a glance there might not be too many changes on the new model but our spy photographers say there are quite a few new tweaks on closer inspection.

There are new door handles, an air breather in the front wings, front door; there’s also a sharp horizontal edge over the doors and a flatter rear window that sets this prototype model apart from the current one.
The BMW 7 Series launched in 2008 (2009 for SA) set the tone for the current line-up of cars. The Vision Connected Drive concept car showcases the next stop of the automaker’s design.
Parts such as the roof, bonnet, boot lid and door skins will all be significantly lightly than the current model.
According to sources, the new 5 Series could also be the basis for the first high-efficiency model powered by BMW’s upcoming three cylinder diesel engine – reminiscent of earlier 5 Series models such as the E28 and E34 518i.
