We've seen mules for the next generation of the Audi A6 during the past year but today we bring you the first look at an early prototype!
Right away we can see this A6 is sporting a new front clip. Angular, assertive headlights are easy to see along with new styling on the lower front fascia.
New door releases and external mirrors are also present on this prototype.
The 2012 A6 will undergo a big change underneath, moving from VW's Group C-chassis to Audi's MLB, modular aluminum chassis.
The engine range should include the supercharged three-litre V6 and a new four-litre V8 on which Audi is currently working.
Sophisticated TDI motors will also be part of the range and Audi has two new transmissions in store for the new A6 – an EIGHT-speed auto and a seven-speed dual clutch.
Watch for production to start in the first half of 2011 at Audi's plant in Neckarsulm, Germany.
