If you were looking for a premium SUV back in 2006 you might have been quite taken by the massive Audi Q7. Perfect for a large family but some thought it too cumbersome for everyday use.
Audi solved this with the hugely popular Q5 in 2009. Now it seems the German automaker is looking for something in between.
Q3 ALSO COMING
Our spies spotted the new Q6 undergoing testing. The SUV is planned to slot in between the Q5 and Q7 to take on BMW’s X6. As you can tell from our spy images, the Q6 looks wider than the Q5 but has a sportier presence courtesy of its styling.
Engines are expected to be borrowed from its SUV siblings.
It remains to be seen how well the Q6 will do in terms of sales since the German automaker will also launch the Q3 SUV later in 2012.
