Spotted for the first time out in the open, our spies captured the the face-lifted Audi R8 that will make its official appearance at the 2012 Paris auto show.
Exterior modifications will be limited to new diode headlights, a revised grille and new tail lights.
The biggest changes will be found under the bonnet. The 5.2 V10 engine will be tuned to deliver 397.4kW, up from the current 386.2kW, and will be combined with a new seven-speed dual clutch S-tronic gearbox.
As for the V8, it will be upgraded from 316kW to 331kW. Audi will also reveal an updated GT and GT Spyder version later in 2012.
