SPIED: Audi A3 Sportback

UNDISGUISED NEXT SPORTBACK: Since the two-door variant has already been launched in Europe, there was very little reason for Audi to disguish the next Sportback version.

The latest version of Audi’s highly anticipated A3 has been spotted undergoing hot-weather testing.

The Sportback loses the station-wagon resemblance of its predecessor and will be more in line with a four-door A3.

A slightly stretched wheelbase and roof rails will distance the Sportback from the new two-door variant.

The all-new Audi A3 will arrive in South Africa towards the end of 2012, the Sportback will follow in 2013.
