This new Mitsubishi concept shows what to expect from the Euro-spec Outlander
Although a new Outlander went on sale in Japan at the end of last year, the new concept shows the European version - which doesn't differ that much from the Japanese model.
The Euro-spec Outlander concept is set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September, and according to Mitsubishi there are some "significant" differences to set it apart from its Asian sibling.
For starters, it will come with a 100 kW 2-litre turbodiesel engine, which is sourced from VW.
It also features a more aggresive grille, more chrome trim and a sportier look in general.
Then there are a fold-away third row of seating as well as a split tailgate.
When the production version hits European showrooms early in 2007, it won't differ much from the concept car.
South Africans will probably have to wait until the middle of 2007 before the newcomer reaches local shores.
