Mercedes-Benz is set to launch new coupe and convertible variants of its new C-Class launched in South Africa in 2014. Spy photographers captured images of the new coupe version undergoing testing.
The two-door C-Class variants will be sportier than the sedan on which they’re based. Spy images show the track of the coupe prototype is wider than that of the sedan and the car looks to be riding lower.
SPORTY DESIGN
The side mirrors are mounted on the doors instead of the base of the A-pillar as seen on the sedan. Its registration plate will be located in the bumper and it borrows the slim tail lights from the S-class Coupe.

Engine offerings should match those of the sedans, seven-speed auto and rear-wheel drive should be standard. While the coupe should receive the AMG treatment, the convertible is unlikely to.
The C-class coupe and convertible are expected to be launched later in 2015 as a 2016 models.
