LONDON, England - McLaren’s next sports car has been spotted undergoing testing as a mule, though fitted with a modified though camouflaged MP4-12C chassis.

The car is being tipped as an “entry level” sports car: “In 2015, McLaren will launch its next sports car and will take the brand into a lower price point (top-end Porsche 911/Audi R8).”
Little is known about the P13; even its name has to be confirmed. According to Automedia, the model will have 335kW and cost the equivalent of R1.9 million. It could be unveiled in late 2014 with a launch planned for 2015.
The UK automaker has already begun testing the P13 but the vehicle was fitted with a modified yet heavily camouflaged MP4-12C body.
