Purchasing Experience
The Ipsos Survey reveals that the passenger market has the closest split in terms of "purchasing experience" and "sales experience" per male/female customer.
Out of the 22 000 customers surveyed, 41.8% of female respondents make up the passenger car, compared to 58.2% of males. In the light commercial vehicle market, only 15.6% women are purchasing bakkies compared to 84.4% males.

Where are cars being purchased?
Gauteng reigns when it comes to car sales with the province making up 40.7% of the passenger car market and 35.9% of LCV sales too, reports Ipsos. Next is KwZulu-Natal making up 16.2% and 13.7% respectively while the Western Cape makes up for 13.7% and 11.1%.

Servicing Experience
When it comes to servicing vehicles, 41.8% women are happy with the service received while only 58.2% of men are satisfied with the experience with passenger vehicles.
The commercial segment almost mirrors the purchasing experience while only 15.6% females are satisfied in the light commercial sector and 84.4% males are content with the servicing experience.
