This is how many cars Porsche SA sold in 2017 so far

Johannesburg - Earlier in July, Wheels24 reported that Porsche could be set for a record year  in 2017; the automaker has recorded its best sixth-month sales figure yet.

With 126 497 vehicles sold worldwide, the automaker has exceeded its record figure set in 2016 by 7% in the first half of 2017.

But what about local sales?

According to Naamsa, Porsche has sold 645 units in South Africa from January to June 2017.

The automaker's best-selling model so far? The Cayenne, with 224 SUVs finding homes in SA.

The iconic 911 is in second place with 194 units. The rest of its top 5 best-sellers so far in 2017 include the 718, Macan and the Panamera.
