Cape Town - The Ford Mustang, with 81 muscle cars sold, remains South Africa’s top-selling sports car in May 2017.
The Mustang bested the formidable Porsche 911 (41 sold). The Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxster came in third place with 11 units sold.
The Mustang has been a firm favourite amongst SA’s car buying public since its launch in 2015.

Naamsa comments: "The current polarised political environment in SA, together with prospects of subdued economic growth over the short to medium term, continued to weigh on business confidence and consumer sentiment.
“Domestic new vehicle sales were closely correlated with the overall performance of the South African economy and confidence levels."
