Cape Town - The Ford Mustang might have retained its position as South Africa’s favourite sports car but it was the Jaguar F-Type which proved to be the biggest talking point in September.
The Mustang, in first place, found 75 new owners; making it the default choice for sports cars in South Africa.
That Jag, though…
But behind the Mustang, even though the sales figures are lightyears apart, the F-Type made the biggest jump in terms of sales. Normally a car that’d sell around seven to eight models a month, the F-Type found a whopping 24 owners!

Some way off the 24-mark is the Audi R8. The supercar slayer takes fourth place after selling nine units the past month.
The Ferrari 488 Spider, Nissan GT-R, and Alfa Romeo 4C all found one new owner.
Naamsa said: "A number of factors had contributed to the improved momentum in local sales and these included reduced new vehicle pricing pressures currently at an annualized rate lower than inflation, the July 2017 reduction in interest rates and continued highly attractive sales incentives."
