Korean powerhouse: Here's how many cars Kia SA has sold in 2018

Kia Motors South Africa has grown in leaps and bounds these past few years. The Korean automaker has not only improved in terms of styling and good offerings in many local segments but has crucially won over the hearts of thousands of locals.

Kia's service and warranty inclusive plans are a bonus when purchasing any of the vehicles in its stable, and the proof is in its sales figures each month, at least according to Naamsa stats.

The Kia Picanto is the local automaker's top-selling model; with more than 700 units on average flying off showroom floors every month.

Next is the larger Rio sedan and hatchback models which also round off good sales. Then its popular Sportage which also sells more than 100 units every month.

Other vehicles in the Korean stable is the Cerato, Grand Sedona, Sorento and the crossover Soul making up the rest of the tally.

Kia also announced it will be bringing the highly-anticipated Stinger GT to SA. A limited number of the "most powerful Kia" created yet will arrive locally in August 2018.

Kia South Africa will introduce the Stinger in GT trim, powered by the high-performance 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that develops 272kW at 6000 r/min and 510Nm of torque between 1300 and 4500 r/min.
