Cape Town - For the first time in almost a year, BMW South Africa has released sales figures for its entire model range, including its X5 SUV, reports Naamsa.
Though the X5 did not top the charts in February 2018, the popular SUV still manage to secure a solid third place in our top ten list with 89 units sold.
The Toyota Prado picked up where it left off in January 2018, grabbing the top spot in February, with a strong sales figure of 118 units. Its bigger brother, the Land Cruiser 200, found favour among 104 new owners.
Good month for Land Rover
Behind the X5 sits the Range Rover Velar; this luxury newcomer amassed a sales figure of 88 units, well-ahead of the fifth-generation Land Rover Discovery (76 units) in fifth place.
The Range Rover/RR Sport sits in the uncustomary position of sixth place though its sales total of 75 units is not to be scoffed at. The Range Rover Evoque continues its top ten run with 63 units sold, ahead of its cousin, the Jaguar F-Pace (52 units) in eighth.
Volvo’s Car of the Year champion, the XC90, sold 44 units in ninth place, ahead of the soon-to-be-launched Jaguar E-Pace already found 32 new homes before its official launch.
