Cape Town - There seems to be no stopping the Volkswagen Polo Vivo as grabs the title of South Africa’s top-selling passenger car.
The Polo Vivo found 2851 new owners, 716 more than its closest rival in October 2017!

With 2135 units, the Toyota Corolla/Auris/Quest slots in behind the Polo Vivo. The Toyota Etios, another budget-beater in a market flooded with choice, sold the third-most vehicles with 2059 units.
The VW Polo slips down to fourth place on 1950 units.
South Africa’s favourite SUV, the Toyota Fortuner, is down in fifth place with 1337 models sold, ahead of Ford’s EcoSport, the latter selling 1047 units.

Kia again makes the top ten, this time with both its Picanto city car and Rio. The Picanto sold a commendable 1020 units in seventh place, while the Rio rounds out the top ten on 843 units.
Between them the Toyota Rav4 (916 units) and Ford Fiesta (855 units) fill positions eight and nine, respectively.
