The Toyota Hilux remains the unrivalled top-selling bakkie in South Africa after amassing a sales figure of more than 3000 units in July 2018.
The Hilux recorded a figure of 3373 units, almost 900 units clear of the second-placed Ford Ranger. The Ranger, leading the rest of the field, sold 2499 units.

The only remaining half-tonner in the market, the Nissan NP200, sold the third most bakkies last month with 1356 units. Its stablemate, the Hardbody/NP300, found 1218 new homes.

The Isuzu KB continues its success recipe in fifth place with 1165 units sold, rounding out the top five as the last vehicle to exceed a thousand units.
The Volkswagen Amarok slots in sixth place with 270 units, followed by the Toyota Land Cruiser pick-up on 238 units. The Mahindra Scorpio Pik-up takes eighth place with 236 units sold.
GWM 153 Steed bakkies last month, and the Nissan Navara rounds out the top ten with 144 units.
