RELAXING ON THE WING: Above shows the images captured by Wheels24 reader Cronjé. Notice the relaxed "official" on the wing (second image, bottom left).

Wheels24 reader Dian Cronjé sent us images of a rare sight on South Africa's roads - two fighter jets travelling on a main road past a suburb.

Cronjé spotted the planes on the M14 in Milnerton on September 23. In the image attached you can see a fighter jet being pulled along with what appears to be a council worker sitting on the wing.

TOP GUN AT THE LAGOON

Cronjé said: "I saw this on the M14 in Milnerton on Sunday, think they were on their way to Ysterplaat."

"It was an incredible sight as the two jets were accompanied by about 12 military police/traffic officials/SAPS vehicles. They were slowly pulled by these little noddy tug cars on the road. Watch the dude sitting on the wing!"

A hat tip to Cronjé for spotting this rare sight on our roads.
