With the new Startech SD6 tuning kit the V6 diesel develops 193 kW compared to 160 kW for the normal version.

At the same time peak torque grows from 510 Nm to 580 Nm, which is available between 1 600 and 2 800 r/min.

Thanks to the modifications to the turbodiesel engine performance improves notably: Acceleration from rest to 100 km/h is shortened from 9.2 to 8.5 seconds, while top speed is now 210 km/h.

Naturally the modified Grand Cherokee also looks the performance part and comes with 20-inch light-alloy wheels. The striking five-spoke wheels lend the new Grand Cherokee a more exclusive appearance.

The Startech suspension kit is specifically calibrated to the use of sporty low-profile tires and lowers the ride height of the SUV by some 30mm. The resulting lowered centre of gravity further improves turning characteristics.

At the front and rear the Grand Cherokee gets striking Startech aprons. To boost its image even more there are also chrome exhaust pipes.

The sides of the five-door are refined with Startech door sills with integrated LED lights.

These entrance lights are activated via the standard keyless-entry remote or by pulling on the door handles, facilitating safe entering and exiting of the vehicle in the dark.
