Reigning SA Superbike champion, Clint Seller, hurt more than his pride at the 2014 Buffalo City SuperGP at the East London Grand Prix circuit, Eastern Cape.

Seller's, known by locals as 'Evil Knievel', entertained spectators by performing a wheelie during the slow-down lap of Race 2.

Unfortunately, a gust of wind unsettled his Kawasaki ZX10 and ultimately he was slammed down on the race track.

A video published by Monster Energy on YouTube shows Seller battling to maintain control of his Kawasaki before tumbling off and crashing into the tarmac.

Sponsor of the Buffalo City SuperGP, Monster Energy, said: "Seller, known to fans as Evil Knievel, was show-boating on the slow-down lap."

Several riders came to the assistance of the beleaguered rider who can be seen writhing on the ground.

SA SUPERGP CHAMPIONSHIP

The inaugural 2014 Buffalo City SuperGP on June 15 marked the halfway point of the eight-round series after events at Phakisa, Red Star and Killarney. The final round in October 2014 will return to Phakisa as part of the penultimate race of the World Superbike series.

Seller has dominated has dominated the SuperGP category with five wins from six starts and has accumulated 125 points.
