The Middelburg Observer has published footage of a devastating multi-vehicle pile-up on Monday (June 29 2015) on the N12/ N4 split near Emalahleni in Mpumalanga.

JOHANNESBURG, Gauteng - Two people were killed and at least 15 injured in collisions along the N12 and the N4 highway near Ogies and Witbank in Mpumalanga due to misty conditions on Monday (June 29 2015), paramedics said.

Roughly 60 vehicles including cars, minibus taxis and several trucks were involved in different collisions, said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

Mering said: "It is believed heavy mist in the area contributed to the cause of the collisions. Those hurt sustained injuries to their lower legs, pelvic areas and some to their heads."
