MV Augusta's limited-edition F3 800 Ago bikes, signed by 15-times World champion Giacomo Agostini, have arrived in South Africa.

Craig Langton, dealer principal for MV Agusta SA and the Cayenne Group, said: “Only 300 of the Ago F 800 were produced we were extremely lucky to get a handful of them from the factory.

"All the units come with a certificate signed by Giacomo Agostini himself, providing additional proof of the uniqueness and originality of this latest MV Agusta legend, each unit is also numbered and signed by the famous Giacomo Agostini and is in the Agusta race colours.

"To own one of these is very special”.

UNSURPASSED TECHNOLOGY

These motorcycles made Giacomo Agostini a motorcycling legend and have now re-emerged as the F3 800 Ago. According to MV Agusta: “It’s packed with unsurpassed technology, performance and handling, along with the Ago limited model features and styling.”

Riders can select from several power deliver modes and suspension set-ups via the MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System). The system also allows riders to configure the traction control.

The bike has Bosch ABS with race mode to prevents the rear wheel lifting under hard braking.

The F3 800 Ago uses carbon-fibre details at the front, making the bike lighter and enhancing its power-to-weight ratio. Another weight-reducing measure is its forged rims, which shave two kilograms off the standard version. A sports-style plate holder emphasises its rear.

Langton said: "The F3 800 Ago is unique in every detail. A silver plaque attached to the steering yoke shows a progressive number certifying that the F3 800 is one of MV Agusta's most exclusive creations.”

A silver plaque attached to the steering yoke carries a unique model number and each bike sports the autograph of  Agostini on its fuel tank.
