Land Rover’s new Discovery Sport will go on sale in South Africa in 2015. Ahead of its official launch, local fans will be able to experience the new 4x4 at popular holiday destinations in SA.
The new SUV is equipped with Land Rover’s terrain response system and has approach, departure, and breakover angles of 25°, 31°, and 21° respectively – allowing it to tackle tricky inclines, ruts and rocky terrain. It also has a wading depth of 600mm.
NINE-SPEED AUTO
The new Discovery Sport has a 5+2 seating configuration though the seating can be reconfigured for cargo. Power comes from a selection of petrol or diesel engines, mated to a nine-speed auto.
Visitors viewing the Discovery Sport in December/January 2014/15 are encouraged to use supplied cameras and internet connections, to take selfies and share their images ahead of the vehicle’s launch in 2015.
