Lambo's R3.2m Huracan: 700 to be sold!

SANT' AGATA BOLOGNESE Italy - The Lamborghini Huracan has a hefty price tag equivalent to about R3-million, already 700 units have been pre-ordered during a worldwide private preview tour for VIP clients.

According to GTSpirit.com, the Huracan's price tag for the base model is equivalent to R2.7-million. However, that does not include the UK's tax charge equivalent to R550 000, or the delivery charge equivalent of R55 000. With all that, car works out to the equivalent of R3.2-million.

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 will replace the automaker’s most successful model to date, the Gallardo, and is powered by a 455kW 5.2-litre V10 engine which allows it to reach a top speed of 325km/h. It sprints from 0 - 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to 200km/h in 9.9 seconds. Fuel consumption is rated at a claimed 12.5-liters/100km with emissions of 290g/km.

A candidate for 'star of the show' at Geneva Motor show, the Hurucan will be the first vehicle to be revealed at the exhibition by Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, scheduled for March 4 2014.

The Huracan will be produced at the Automobili Lamborghini headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.
