Wheels24's roving Johannesburg motorcycling correspondent DRIES VAN DER WALT took a day off to visit the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show. Here are his thoughts - and his pictures.

JOHANNESBURG - The dates for the 2015 Johannesburg International Motor Show have been announced.

The show will take place from October 14 - 25 2015 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec. The show officially opens to media on October 14 2015 with public viewing from October 16 - 25.

The Jozi auto show is Africa's largest automotive industry event with a show floor encompassing "passenger cars, leisure vehicles, exotic marques, parts and accessories and automotive lifestyle products".

TOP 10 AUTO SHOW

The exhibition runs in conjunction with two associate shows the Johannesburg Truck and Bus Show and Auto Shop.

The show is recognised by the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers as one of the top ten auto shows in the world.

Organisers report over 240 000 visitors attended the 2013 show.
